Let’s invest in Facebook!

(Day 21 – 29)

Before starting on this important topic, we will talk about Why invest in social networks? And we’ll do some quick math, to show why you should do it, let’s start with an example:
Invest in Facebook
We have a special 25% discount promotion or a product or service and you decide to use the old reliable: Print 1000 Flyers.

  • 1000 Flyers has a cost of $165.00 approx.
  • Let’s add design $35.00.
  • Add an additional cost of $80 approx. Steering wheel, if not you. The cost may vary by area.
  • Total: $280.00 +VAT or $200 + VAT If your flyers.
Let’s see what really happens with those 1000 Flyers really:

  • Statistically only 2% of those 1000 Flyers will reach users who really want your services or products, we are talking about only 20 people, the other 98% end up in a dump or somewhere forgotten by the world.
  • Nothing ensures that those 20 people come to your premises or call you and if something happens does not ensure that they buy.
  • We spent $280 or 200 + your valuable time just to reach 20 people.
  • We damage the environment by printing on paper.
  • Add to the statistics that indicate that the Flyer is a waste of time and money.

Taking into account the above example, this course is designed so that with only $80 you reach more than 10,000 potential users, to buy or be informed of your product or purchase your service and help the environment.

I want you to stop for a moment and imagine that you can reach 10,000 people simultaneously and all of them, ALL of them, have a high probability of empathizing with your product, it’s as if YOU talked to them about what you do personally at all at once.

…That’s what Facebook does when you promote your content… 

If you do the math, and if this were the case with the unfortunate Flyer, using the formula above you would reach 200 people reached with a fraction of the investment, but as this is Facebook… ¡You’ll reach 10,000 with just that fraction of the investment!

 

The million-dollar question comes. How do you invest $80 on Facebook?

 

Let’s first break down how you’ll invest the $80.00, then start investing with each shape piece and take our example of investing a day if and a day not.

  • Fan Page $30.00 per month would be $1.00 per day.
  • 15 publications, $2.00 per publication.
  • Golden Publication or your best promotion, this publication will cost $20.00 and will end in 20 days at a rate of $1 daily.

 

Blog posts ($30.00)

 

Having the post ready and reviewed by the Facebook Text Overlay and this one with the check “✅CORRECT“, it can be published.

  • Then in a corner is the option of Promote publication.
  • You will have a menu to promote your publication, there is an option that asks What result would you like to achieve with this publication?
  1. Receive more messages.
  2. Get more interaction.

This depends on your goal and the publication, because if it is a promotion it is preferable to interact with the publication, but if you are showing the advantages of your product it is much better to leave the option #1 Receive messages.

  • When a user wants to send you a message, clicking on the message option will leave this menu which you can modify, depending on your post will be the possible answers that you can put.
Invest in Facebook
  • Let’s select your right audience. You can create multiple audiences for your posts, it depends a lot where you want to go and who you want to see your posts or fan page. For example, if you have a restaurant on your block does not make sense to make a guideline in the department of the Union, you must use the places closest to you, if it is a service or home delivery can be nearby colonies or the entire department, or the country.
  • Decide the ages and in which part of the country you want to be seen, you can also segment by tastes or hobbies in case you know your customer deeply. You should have looked at this in the market research part.

As we mentioned in our example each publication will have an investment value of $2.00, but to maximize the investment and lifetime of our publication.

  • We will have those two $2.00 spent in two days, managing to keep our publication valid for 48 hours until publishing again.

It is worth explaining the previous point. A little trick is to extend the lifetime of the publication, this does not mean that it will disappear from your Fan Page, but that it will disappear from the news update of our target audience.

So if you extend $1 for 7 days, Facebook will split that amount in 7 days (that is NOT recommended is just an example), the same will happen if you extend $7 for 7 days. The difference is that the more money the more people reached, the latter is true if you do math, but it is not always very effective.

 

Marketing Strategy ($30.00)

 

  • At the bottom left of our fan page, we will see the “Promote” button which we will select.
  • We will see a menu with these options and select “Promote your page” .
  • Now we will see the image or video to select, it will depend on if you have an image as a cover or a video cover and then you will have the description of your ad.
  • You only have 90 characters, I recommend being punctual and direct.

Targeting your audience is very important, depending on whether your product or service will have coverage to that place. I will give you as an example; as our service is digital we can reach several countries without any problems. That’s something to keep in mind when targeting and it’s something you validated in your market research.

In the budget and duration option, following the investment strategy we will select “Choose when this announcement will end” a daily budget of $1.00 and select 30 days in the calendar as shown in the picture.

GOLDEN Publication ($20.00)

 

The publication “GOLDEN” is the publication of the offer of the month which you will have to “fix it at the top of the fan page” you will have to follow the same steps “Publication with Guidelines” to the point of budget and duration.

  • In your budget you will put $20.00 and in the duration will be 20 days, so you spend $1.00 daily that way in that $20.00 you will have a special promotion, for the whole month.

I call this $80.00 strategy the “Perseverance Strategy” because every day you will be persevering in positioning your brand on Facebook and if you have followed all the steps in the suggested time, you have invested the recommended minimum, you have well defined your customer and market, You’ve done detail targeting and everything else, in 30 days you’ll get your first 1,000.
